Hats, scarfs, gloves, socks, jackets, jumpers, t-shirts, clean underpants, sleeping bags.

Hygiene Products

Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, pads, shaving foam, razor, shower gel, shampoo, face wipes, deodorant.

Non Perishable Food Items

Cereal, breakfast/energy bars, crackers, peanut butter, tinned foods, tea bags, soup sachets, pot noodles. sugar sachets.

Sugary Food/Drink

Fruit, energy bars, Lucozade, biscuits, buns, sweets, chocolate.

Do you take children’s donations?
All children’s donations should be donated to Enable Ireland. See –

When joining one of your campaigns around the country how many hours are we expected to volunteer for?
We will be thrilled to have you on board in what ever capacity be it one, two or three hours. Any time you can give will be greatly appreciated. Most campaigns last between 3-5 hours.

What sort of donations are you looking for?
Anything and everything that is applicable to the homeless. See – “Donate Items” page.

Can we make financial donations?
Right now we take physical items such as Clothing, Non Perishable Foods and Hygiene Products.

Can I bring my kids to volunteer or is there a strict age limit?
Here at Shine a Light we encourage all ages to volunteer with our organisation however we do recommend anyone under the age of 16 is accompanied by an adult.

Can I volunteer in another capacity rather than donating essential goods on the streets at your various campaigns around the country?
Absolutely, there are a range of roles within Shine a Light such as bag packers, collectors, photographers, media and much more. See – “Volunteer” page.
